artfull projects
In 2005/06 artfull funded a series of pilot projects in the field of arts, mental health and wellbeing.
Participating organisations were Generation Arts in West Lothian, Edinburgh based Hearts&Minds, Polyphony and Positive Mental Attitudes in Glasgow and Reachout with Arts in Mind based in Alloa. The success of the pilot projects led to the establishment of the Exemplar Project Fund and towards the end of 2006, artfull issued a funding call for applications. Thirty three applications were received from across Scotland of which eleven were awarded funding. The purpose of the Exemplar fund is to demonstrate and explore the breadth and value of the role that participatory arts projects play in promoting positive mental health and well-being.
